FAQs

Q1. I am a customer of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation ("the Utility"). Can I switch my service to National Fuel Resources?

Answer:

Yes. Thanks to energy deregulation you now have the opportunity to choose who supplies natural gas commodity service to you.

Q2. What is the difference between National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation and National Fuel Resources?

Answer:

National Fuel Resources (NFR), is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company, a diversified energy company incorporated in 1902. NFR is a deregulated, non-utility supplier of natural gas. National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation is the local Utility company.

Q3. How can National Fuel Resources save me money compared to my current energy bills?

Answer:

Because NFR is a deregulated entity, it can offer different pricing arrangements to customers than those offered by a regulated Utility. This, combined with NFR's experience in purchasing natural gas and its ability to use financial risk management tools to manage price variability, enable it to provide natural gas to consumers at competitive prices.

Answer:

You will only receive one monthly bill from National Fuel Resources which will include the your regular monthly delivery service charges from National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation (the "Utility").

Q5. Will I notice a change in my service?

Answer:

Your service will not change. You will continue receiving the reliable, dependable service you've come to know. The Utility will continue to read your meter, deliver natural gas to your home, handle natural gas emergencies, and maintain the safety of the underground pipelines delivering gas to your home.
