National Fuel Resources, Inc. Selected as Supplier for The Manufacturers Association of Central New York


(December 6, 2007) Williamsville, New York - National Fuel Resources, Inc. (NFR), a wholly owned subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE: NFG), announced it has been selected by the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) to be the natural gas supplier for the organization's newest purchasing consortium.  MACNY has established a natural gas buying group as part of its portfolio of professional services designed to help manufacturers in New York State reduce costs, improve profitability and compete with manufacturers throughout the world.  As one of the largest regional marketing companies in New York State, NFR also has a proven track record of assisting New York manufacturers through its delivery of reliable, low-cost gas supplies and extensive energy management expertise.

Following a careful review and competitive bidding process, MACNY chose NFR because "NFR offered strong support for the manufacturing group and the consortium principle, as well as the lowest prices," stated John Lawyer, Director of Purchasing and Technology Solutions at MACNY.  "MACNY's mission is to support long term success for the manufacturers in Upstate New York", notes Joe Del Vecchio, Assistant Vice President of NFR.  "Helping customers control energy costs is a major factor that contributes to this success and we welcome the opportunity to partner with MACNY in such a mission."
